Individual Differences in Development Lab
THE SCIENCE OF INDIVIDUALITY
How do we become unique individuals?
At IDDLab, we study the variation in human development from early in life through adulthood. We conduct research on many facets of human development, from temperament to scholastic achievement to behavioral and emotional problems.
Bio-Environment Interface
We investigate how genetic, neurological, and physiological factors interact with environments in families, neighborhoods and schools. We also study cultural differences.
Our latest project
In our most recent research, we have been studying executive function or EF (aspects of self-regulation of memory and attention) in parents and their young children. We are examining how variations in stressful environments influence, and are influenced by, parents' and children's EF skills.
